this position has a significant impact on the company revenues and profitability as it represents the company in all the business activities with the customers. to establish a strong client relationship and perception. internally, program management will coordinates and manages all activities with purchasing, master scheduler, production planning, production management, materials, engineering, quality, accounting and all levels of management to meet the customer’s requirement. he/she has to work independently with minimal direction from supervisor. expectations include better business performance and improve customer satisfaction.

major responsibility:

responsible for management of customer information, sales/orders administration and client relations (via oral and written communications).

responsible for management of projects from development/initialization stage until final production stage.

to manage and supervise at least one program administrator or officer.

responsible for the development of his/her subordinate.

assist his/her manager on special project or assignment.

participates in company program to achieve company’s strategic goals.

authority statement:

has authority to make decisions regarding the programs for which they are responsible.

has authority to manage projects and/or personnel according to the business and technical needs of contract manufacturing services.

primary functions/major responsibilities:

1.sales program management (1 portfolio)

manages all aspects of backlog – order entry, maintenance, customer information, part information, synchronize customer po, ship date and original promised date (opd), maintain customer forecasts, rma’s with customer, schedule and change customer shipment dates.

responsible for preparing quarterly cost and business reviews.

function as the main point of contact – oral and written correspondence.

internal advocate for customer.

monitor on-time shipping performance data for customers.

assuring engineering changes are implemented and associated costs are reimbursed by the customer.

with purchasing product manager, monitor and minimize excess and obsolete inventory. this includes the write-off of inventory at plexus expense.

2. project coordination/supervision (2 portfolio)

schedules project team meetings and publishes minutes.

forms new project teams and maintains project team lists.

maintains the project overview summary.

sends notification of new part number and pcb revisions.

monitor customer design package approvals.

prepare information required for successful kick-off of new projects.

trend analysis reports and various other reporting.

3.customer service function

coordinate with finished goods staff on scheduling customer shipments.

order management.

enter and monitor rma in plexus sales order system.

4.new product/transition introduction management

schedules, manages and minutes npi/transition.

schedules, manages and minutes rrr.

manages kick off meeting and minutes.

manages npi/transition check list with team members to ensure timely accomplishments.

supervisory responsibility:

responsible for providing daily work direction and supervision to program administrator, program officer and program assistant.

responsible for the full range of supervisory activities.

manage the training and development of his/her subordinates.

specific job skills:

good oral and written communication skills.

good organization and decision making skills.

ability to multi-task simultaneously projects.

ability to supervise both entry-level and supervisory positions.

thorough understanding of application development lifecycle.

working knowledge of personal computers and window applications.

good understanding of contract management, accounting and business management practices.

ability to effectively present technical and financial information and respond to questions from management, technical and administrative staff and clients.

education and/or experience:

technical degree or a related field, or related experience.

diploma with 5 years working experience in related field.
