execution of procurement market analysis for related commodities or technologies

identification and build up of new suppliers as well as optimisation of existing supplier base in terms of cost reduction and performance improvement

rfq and cost comparison/analysis

negotiation and contract management

development and execution of supplier strategies, incl. risk management

support in quality related topics such as technical discussions, parts release, etc.

create suggestions for improvement for applied procedures and implemented processes as a result of daily work

support the further development by implementing improvements within the categories but also in cooperation with other departments

systematic problem solving and highly innovation approach in terms of cost optimization, quality, delivery issues from supplier side

be with clear mindset to identify key elements among complex and multi-force situation.

frequently report to the department manager about activities and results

frequently communicate and maintain close relationship with suppliers

occasionally communicate and maintain close relationship to other departments of the two locations, especially production, material requirement planning and r&d

highly project management level in terms of localization /relocation /tooling project.

supplier base management & development in term of team work with internal cross functions eg. project purchasing, supplier quality, operation, fi etc.

at least technical bachelor degree (mechanical engineering preferably)

cet-4 english, skilled ms office and erp system (sap)
